If there is one thing I do well it is collect links (urls, hyperlinks). So I am going to share a few of my favorites on a monthly basis (or weekly if I find a rash of really good ones :). I will attempt to organize them to some extent, however I am a compulsive over-organizer so this could get messy…

• Free Rice - Play this free vocabulary game (who couldn’t use a larger vocabulary?) and donate rice through the United Nations to help end world hunger
• My Monthly Cycles - of course this one is only for us girls but it is extremely useful for those of us who need a little reminder…
• Space Weather - what a cool site! For those who actually care what is going on in the universe this site has it all from solar flare alerts to email reminders of upcoming cosmic collisions.
• Zazzle - a lot like cafepress but so much more! With tons of products to choose from you can create your own or buy someone else’s. Open your free gallery and start selling your designs too. They offer a flash panel you can use on your own website, facebook, myspace, anywhere you want to promote yours or someone else’s products.
• Climate Prediction - want to let your computer help scientists better predict climate change? Then download this software and get busy!
• Care2 - care about animals, living healthy, the planet, your pets or your children? Wanna get involved in helping preserve the rain forest or provide a checkup for a homeless animal? Then check out this site! Tons of information, tips, recipes, and more there is definitely something for everyone. Get involved!
• Newstarget - super informative alternative health website with information about everything from the use of aspartame to the breast cancer deception. Excellent resource for alternative health and wellness information!
• Now Public - an alternative to main stream media, now public is a news site powered by the readers. Report on an issue you care about or read what others are saying. Full uploading available for photos, video, or audio footage.
• Charity Guide - volunteer on demand! The Charity Guide volunteer directory makes it possible for busy people to make a difference at anytime, from anywhere. Even if you have an unpredictable schedule, you can volunteer for your favorite cause, including: animal welfare, children’s issues, community development, environmental protection, healthcare, and overcoming poverty.
• On the Issues - learn about where each political candidate stands on important issues. View voting records, issue analysis and more. Great site for learning more specific information about the candidates for the 2008 presidential election.
